Teens In Wet T Shirts
A wet t-shirt contest for teens can be great fun for all involved. Girls love watching as their bosoms get wet and squirmy, guys enjoy looking at all those pert boobs displayed, and the establishment hosting it makes lots of money through hosting fees alone! Something like this could only occur in America where hedonism and Puritanism clash against each other in an uneasy dance that often results in memorable images!
The wet t-shirt contest has become one of the most enduring symbols of sexual liberation and empowerment. It began with Jacqueline Bisset’s underwater swimming scene in The Deep from 1977, in which her white tee became more than just an innocent canvas; its beauty, sunkissed complexion, and near nude body evoke Aphrodite, and for an instant it becomes sensuous; not just clothing but an object of desire!
It was no accident that wet t-shirt contests emerged around the same time second wave feminism had reached its zenith. According to Time magazine in 1975, second-wave feminism “penetrated every layer of society and matured beyond ideology to become accepted without conscious awareness”. Young women could then be seen flashing their breasts freely without giving much consideration for any potential social consequences in films such as Spring Break of the 60s and 70s.
