Teen Nudist Pageants

Teen Nudist Pageants A 19-year-old American girl from Florida won the Miss Nude World beauty pageant, held at a nudist camp in Ontario. To avoid accusations of immorality or misconduct from contest organizers, all participants abided by rules prohibiting make-up wear or bobbed hairstyles – both trademarks of 1920s worldliness and modernity.

This competition consisted of both a preliminary swimsuit and evening gown show and talent competition, judged based on beauty, talent, and audience interaction. At the conclusion of talent competition the winner was announced and received a sash, robe, crown, and flowers as rewards.

Though some scholars have addressed the impact of child beauty pageants, few academic studies have been done on them. Instead, popular writers and producers have filled this void – often producing biased or unrepresentative works like Anderson 2009’s high-quality coffee table book featuring numerous photos but little commentary focusing on child beauty pageants in chapters 14-15.

Dorr’s photo essay of a contest for girls aged 8-12 can also be difficult to follow, with images depicting young girls wearing flouncy gowns with long, wavy, teased blonde hair in various poses while looking directly into the camera. Laryssa and Rayssa – nine year-old twin sisters highlighted with makeup – stand out as particularly hard to look at; dressed as though they could be teenagers while carrying teddy bears and Velcro high-top sneakers are even worse!
