GOING SEVENTEEN (Movie Review)
Seventeensex has earned itself a reputation for its sexual content, however there may be certain elements which may not be suitable for younger viewers. While the sex scenes and adult content are all professionally executed and entertaining, its storyline often deals with issues of gender and identity, particularly for Nadine; her emotions after losing her father lead her into overeager attempts at hookups with sweet, charming classmates at school; as well as becoming too close with Skin Diamond as her call girl boss.
At Seventeen, it can be heartbreaking for many members to face these difficulties; yet these stories must be told for others to learn about and enjoy the band and its members. This film provides an excellent way to learn more about this band as a whole and its members and is an essential addition to anyone’s movie library.
I enjoyed listening to and singing along to these seductive, provocative tunes while learning more about each member’s personalities and glimpses into their everyday lives.
GOING SEVENTEEN released an episode in September 2019 when the MBTI trend hadn’t reached its current crescendo. They challenged each member to take the test, revealing a range of INFPs, ENFPs (including rapper Vernon), ISFJs and even an ISTJ in singer Jeonghan! Their production crew did an outstanding job keeping things light while giving viewers more of an intimate insight into this music band.
