Bruce Springsteen’s younger sister Pamela had several minor roles in film including an appearance as secretary in Fast Times At Ridgemont High. However, she became best-known for starring as Angela Baker/Johnson in Michael A Simpson’s Sleepaway Camp horror franchise and killing multiple people with amazing and disgusting methods – garnering her an enormous cult following over time and its two sequels directed by Michael A Simpson also finding themselves well received by audiences.

In the first film, Angela is a young transgender woman who manages to escape an insane asylum and head for a nearby summer camp where she accepts a position as counselor. While still somewhat unstable due to her recent sex change, she manages to murder all boy scouts that cross her. The first movie features humorous practical effects while its sequels provide similar fun horror fun; though not quite as well-done.

Pamela pursued professional still photography after her early film career, photographing many album covers and publicity shots for her brother over time. Additionally, she briefly engaged with actor Sean Penn and continues her photography practice today in Los Angeles.
