Haileyteen (TV Series)
Haileyteen is an award-winning live action series created by Celia Catunda that centers around teenage characters. Airing across Latin America on Boomerang Latin America and Disney Channel Latin America as well as in the US on Netflix Latin America.
Hailey can also be written as Hayley, Hailee or Haleigh and has become increasingly popular since English actress Hayley Mills first used it in movies like Pollyanna and The Parent Trap in the early ’80s. Although it reached number 100 among girl names in 2010, its usage has since become less prominent.
Hailey Macklin (Jodelle Ferland), an academically advanced high school student, finds herself excluded from a popular group due to her contributions in class discussions. To cope with her frustrations, she posts negative comments about the girls online before posting negative comments herself about them on social media platforms like Facebook – prompting the group of girls to beat her up violently as revenge – the attack being recorded and planned to be posted online afterwards.
At the core of season 3, Hailey experiences a betrayal so devastating it has forced all the other teen parents on Unexpected out of the green room and onto the Tell All stage to show their solidarity. Yet despite this setback, her relationship with Justin remains strong, and they’re both busy nesting for baby Kinsley’s arrival by going to church together and leaning on close knit circles for support.
